It’s the kickoff to the 2024 Senior season and I am more than emotional as my oldest is one of them. ALL. THE. FEELS. I’ve recently decided to specialize in senior, teen/tween and sport portrait as I have found these to be my niche! Surprisingly senior portraits aren’t super popular in the area where I live and it’s quite shocking and disappointing. Here are some reasons you should invest in portrait session for your high school or college graduate!
Celebrate the milestone.
It feels like yesterday they started kindergarten and here they are going off into the world. This will likely be the last professional portrait taken of your child before their wedding day. They’ve worked so hard to get to where they are and they should be celebrated for all they’ve accomplished. Highlight Their Accomplishments.
From academic achievements to high school sports and activities, your senior has spent many hours working toward their accomplishments. Perhaps they are going to college on an academic/athletic scholarship or will be pursuing a trade they have begun to explore in high school. Sports, music, clubs…there are so many things to celebrate as they end their high school years. A senior portrait session is a wonderful way to reward them for those accomplishments and for loved ones to have never-ending documentation of them.

Senior portrait sessions aren’t only for individuals. Many seniors like to schedule group sessions to incorporate friends into them. This is a special way for them to commemorate the relationships they have with their school friends…many of whom have been lifelong…before they are separated during their next journey. I’m always up for fun group sessions.
I’ve even had a group of siblings who all graduate d from high school, college, and tech school the same year!
