It feels like just yesterday and also eons ago that life as we knew it was flipped upside down. I’ve been trying to find a positive in every day…in between the frustration, the worry, the breakdowns, the fear of the unknown. On March 19th, in our first week of quarantine, my oldest (Ava) turned 14. This will most certainly be a birthday she will never forget.

So many around the world are suffering right now. We take time to be grateful each day that we are healthy, that we have shelter and food to put on the table. While this crisis is affecting each of us differently, there’s no doubt that there are many kids out there who are missing what’s so important at this stage of life…their friends, their teachers, their sports, and more.

This year we celebrated Ava’s 14th virtually. Thanks to many incredible family members and friends we were able to surprise her with a virtual Zoom party. Thank you technology!

Stay safe, everyone. Find something good in each day. Go out a get fresh air whenever you can. Take time for yourself. Spend time with your family. This will end and I can’t wait to photograph you when it is!
